Thesis project “Humor Me” while studying at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Project Description:
Humor is an experience that is taken for granted; yet it is essential to our livelihood, the day-to-day as well as the highs and the lows. In my work I attempt to draw elements from experiences such as humor to enable a more emotive relationship between objects and users. With Humor Me I use elements found in comedy in order to create experiences between object and user. The relationships that develop from these emotive experiences then aid in making an object more enduring to the user. With these relationships the work ultimately addresses issues of product life cycles, throw away culture, and the value we place on objects .
